What Is a Duct Leakage Test?
A duct leakage test measures how much conditioned air escapes from the duct system before reaching its intended destination. Using a calibrated fan and pressure gauges, we pressurize the duct system and measure the airflow needed to maintain that pressure — revealing exactly how much air is leaking out.

How It Works
System Preparation
All supply and return registers are sealed with temporary covers. The air handler is isolated from the duct system.
Fan Connection
A calibrated duct blaster fan is connected to the duct system through a register opening.
Pressurization
The duct system is pressurized to 25 Pascals and the airflow required to maintain that pressure is measured.
Results & Report
Leakage is calculated as a percentage of conditioned floor area and compared against the IECC code limit.
